This is our last full day in Italy. On our way back to Rome, we visited the Abbey of Montecassino.106 views

Across from the Abbey, we can see the Polish Cemetery at Montecassino. It holds the graves of 1144 Poles who died, storming the bombed-out Benedictine abbey atop the mountain in May 1944, during the Battle of Montecassino.101 views
