Across from the Abbey, we can see the Polish Cemetery at Montecassino. It holds the graves of 1144 Poles who died, storming the bombed-out Benedictine abbey atop the mountain in May 1944, during the Battle of Montecassino.70 views

27 of us took a public bus and went to Positano in the evening. It is only 17 km (10.6 miles), but it took us 1 hour. The road is narrow and curvy, and up the mountain first and then down. Coming back was even more scary being in the dark.68 views
