27 of us took a public bus and went to Positano in the evening. It is only 17 km (10.6 miles), but it took us 1 hour. The road is narrow and curvy, and up the mountain first and then down. Coming back was even more scary being in the dark.97 views

Across from the Abbey, we can see the Polish Cemetery at Montecassino. It holds the graves of 1144 Poles who died, storming the bombed-out Benedictine abbey atop the mountain in May 1944, during the Battle of Montecassino.97 views
